# Incentives

Protocols and projects that want to attract liquidity to a particular pool can offer depositors additional incentives (other than the interest already provided by the protocol).

The incentives deposited by the protocol are given away in EPOCHs that last 7 days and start every Thursday at 00:00 UTC.

### How to deposit incentives?

Protocols or projects that want to offer incentives should go to: <https://juiced.app/incentives>

1. Select the pool they want to incentivize
2. Choose the token they are going to give away as an incentive to deposit lending liquidity
3. Input the amount
4. Sit back, relax, and put their feet up

{% hint style="info" %}
**Remember** that all deposits count towards the **next** EPOCH. Never the current one.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.juiced.app/juiced/incentives.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
